Trump to sign executive order fulfilling one of his BIGGEST campaign promises…

One of the biggest issues candidate Trump touted on the campaign trail was taking control of our extremely flawed immigration system, and creating reforms to end the influx of illegals into the country while encouraging immigrants to come into the country the right way.

Since taking office, the president has given ICE more power, and just his platform alone has led to massive decreases in illegal immigration.

It’s safe to say President Trump is keeping his promise to fix the problem and improve both our national security and our economy.

In the latest action, the president has ordered a review of a visa program designed to attract skilled immigrant workers. Officials in the Trump camp say this program has been a concern for many American businesses.

The LA Times is reporting:

An executive order Trump is scheduled to sign during a visit to a Wisconsin manufacturer will direct federal agencies to review the H-1B visa program, which is widely used by the tech industry to bring workers in from other countries.

The White House argues that the program has been “abused to the point of being rendered…inoperative,” as an official told reporters Monday, bringing in workers for positions where they earn less than the industry average paid to American workers. That’s a criticism that has also been widely made by outside analysts.

A senior administration official, briefing reporters Monday on the condition of anonymity ahead of the president’s event, said the goal of the review would be to shift the process for awarding H1-B visas to put a priority on higher-skilled and higher-paid workers, making it more difficult to use it to replace American workers.

Trump’s plan, which also directs a separate review of government purchasing requirements, is consistent with the “Buy American, Hire American” credo that was a staple of his campaign, featured prominently in his inaugural address and outlined in his address to Congress in February.

It’s always refreshing when a politician actually does what they say they’re going to do, which is what Trump has been doing with a number of issues he campaigned upon.

We are a nation that loves immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws. Without upholding and respecting those laws, chaos and depravity ensues, which is exactly what’s happened in many places around the country as a result of illegal immigration.

As with the visa program, each step taken will help restore law and order, and honor those immigrants who have loved our country and believed in it enough to respect our legal system and come here the right way.
