You already know how much of a disaster Obama’s foreign policy has been in the Middle East. Obama blocks 75% of airstrikes against ISIS as their reign of terror expands. Even our old enemies are back, with the Taliban controlling more territory now than at any time since 2001.What a sad state of affairs it is when Muslim countries are doing more to fight Islamic terrorism than we are.
Those aren’t only failures. While Obama’s Iran nuclear deal has the goal of preventing them from obtaining a nuclear weapon (a deal which Iran is already violating), there’s another foe we haven’t been keeping an eye on: North Korea.
Just a few days ago it was announced that North Korea had tested a hydrogen bomb.
Matt Lee of the Associated Press pressed State Department Spokesman John Kirby on this at a press briefing this past Wednesday:“Everytime this happens, we hear from people in this administration and other governments as well that we will not accept North Korea as a nuclear armed state. And, yet it is. You also say this about other things too. You say you will never accept Crimea as a part of Russia. And, yet it is. Isn’t it time to recognize these things for what they are and not live in this illusion or fantasy where you pretend that things are, are not?”
As for Kirby’s response, you just have to see it yourself.
I don’t know if I’m supposed to laugh or cringe, but it may have been the most bizarrely satisfying clip I’ve watched all week.H/T Weasel Zippers
