In 1964, the free speech movement began at the University of California, Berkeley.Oh, how the times have changed.
The leftists of the 60s rebelled against authority. The leftists of today want authority to dictate their lives. That was on full display last night, when Breitbart’s Milo Yiannopoulos, a gay conservative, was set to speak on their campus. As is common when Milo speaks, there were mass protests awaiting him, but for the second time so far this year they were serious enough to force the event to be canceled. A number of so-called “antifascist” rioters shot fireworks at the building where Milo was set to speak, then smashed windows and a number of large light fixtures. All the “antifa” members were dressed in black, and wore gas masks and face coverings to hide their identity.
As one person joked, there are apparently two kinds of fascists in this world: fascists and antifascists. Perhaps “fascists against fascism” is a better name for them, because their tactics, and results couldn’t have been any more fascistic.
Milo always tends to come out victorious when his events get shut down. He loses the battle, but wins the war as he attracts media attention, trends on Facebook and Twitter, and see’s his book’s pre-orders skyrocket. After this particular instance however, Milo is seeing a helping hand from the man he calls “President Daddy.”
If U.C. Berkeley does not allow free speech and practices violence on innocent people with a different point of view – NO FEDERAL FUNDS?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 2, 2017
Alternatively, perhaps those funds could instead be used to create the world’s first conservative safe space. If there’s anything that Berkeley’s antifa protesters taught us last night, it’s that conservatives are not safe on their campus.

Milo elaborates on the talk he had planned, and the violent protests that followed:
You can be sure this won’t be the last protest against his gay, conservative views.
