Who’da thunk it? Trump finds unlikely new defender in liberal Hollywood

President Trump has a new, unlikely supporter and defender in Hollywood, and to be honest, it’s doubtful anyone saw this coming.

Lindsay Lohan — yes, THAT Lindsay Lohan — recently took to Twitter and slammed liberals for attacking Trump, telling them to “stop bullying him.”

No stranger to controversy herself, LiLo had no problem standing up to the Twitterverse in defense of the president and his family.

People is reporting:

The former Mean Girls star, who now lives in London full-time, responded to a tweet showing an image of a Breitbart article in which Trump tweeted that he would be “delighted” to help Charlie Gard, a critically ill British baby that the European Court of Human Rights deemed was too sick to help with experimental medicine.

“THIS IS our president,” Lohan, 31, tweeted on Monday. “Stop #bullying him & start trusting him. Thank you personally for supporting #THEUSA.”

Lohan went on to praise the First Family — including First Lady Melania Trump, daughter Ivanka Trump, and son Donald Trump Jr. — for being “kind people.”

“As an American, why speak poorly of anyone?” she wrote in response to another tweet.

Of course, folks couldn’t resist throwing Lohan under the bus for sharing her opinion.

“Stop trying to make Trump happen. It’s not going to happen,” one person wrote, spinning a well-known quote from Mean Girls.

According to that last individual, it’s totally impossible that Lohan is setting politics aside and just trying to be a decent human being?

Lohan’s comments are shocking though, given the sheer amount of hate Trump has received from folks in Hollywood, and making such statements aren’t likely to do much to help Lohan revive her career.

However, being a decent person tends to have positive blowback, so here’s to hoping things improve for her in the future.
