This SHOULD be the final nail…

Its been 49 years since the New York Jets last won a championship, 44 for the Knicks, 41 years ago the Nets cut down the nets and its been 31 years since the Metropolitans last kissed the trophy. New Yorkers know a loser and can smell one a mile away.

Cue the entrance music for Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Unless you count the DNC-rigged primary of 2016 (which thanks to Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Donna Brazile, CNN and rest of the Democrat corruption machine, she couldn’t lose) it’s been eleven years since HRC last won an election. And that was running as a Democrat for a Senate seat in New York which in some ways is like paying a prostitute for services – the outcome is pretty much guaranteed.

But soon after coming off of her second failed attempt at winning the presidency, the rumor mill began cranking out whispers about Hillary potentially running for mayor of New York City. Posters began popping up around the city as her diehard faithful just couldn’t fathom the notion of what most of the rest of us truly want – for this woman to just fade into distant memory.

Even incumbent Mayor Bill de Blasio appears on shaky legs heading into his re-election bid. De Blasio is running for re-election but trails his Republican challenger Paul Massey, Jr. in fundraising. So do New Yorkers see Hillary as the possible savior? Not so much.

A new poll conducted by Rasmussen surveyed 1,000 “likely voters” in New York city from March 2 through March 5 and the results are not good for the former-First Lady/former-Senator/former-Secretary of State/former-Democrat presidential nominee/current nobody.

According to the poll, which was released today (March 8th) 58 percent of likely voters in the city don’t want Clinton to run again, compared to just 23 percent of voters who wanted her to run.

Even the most novice of campaign managers will tell you that starting from a negative 58 percent,…that ain’t good.

The New York Post quipped this as its editorial page headline, “Can we please be really truly done with Hillary?” and offered the following:

“Though it’s been three months since Donald Trump won the presidential election, it’s not unusual to see handmade “I’m still with her” signs displayed in windows of multimillion-dollar brownstones in Park Slope, “H” arrow buttons (the Clinton campaign logo) on lapels around major cities and Hillary Clinton’s campaign avatar used in social-media profile pictures.

Please, just let it go.

…Why does Hillary Clinton continue to so capture the public imagination? Were there Republicans who couldn’t let go of John McCain or Mitt Romney after their respective losses?”

If this Rasmussen poll is any indication, maybe Democrats are finally willing to let Hillary go. Maybe they’ll finally get over wanting an uber-wealthy, matronly, short-blonde-haired, East Coast limousine liberal and replace her with someone completely different.

Like Elizabeth Warren.
