We shared the shocking news this morning that Sen. Marco Rubio’s spokesman came out to suggest Rubio supporters should vote for John Kasich in Ohio. The move seems right out of the Mitt Romney playbook the 2012 GOP presidential nominee suggested recently — that voters should vote for the non-Trump candidate in their state who is most likely to beat Trump.
Of course, in Ohio, that would appear to be Ohio Gov. John Kasich, according to most polls. In some, Trump leads, while in other polls, Kasich does. It certainly would appear that every vote could matter in Tuesday’s outcome.
So does anyone else find the response from Kasich’s campaign to Rubio’s message this morning odd?
