Remember when a radical leftist attempted to assassinate members of the GOP during a shooting in Alexandria less than a month ago? Remember how folks decided to call for a “truce” of sorts, asking people to tone down the rhetoric that sparked such an incident? It appears the plea for human decency in political discourse has officially come to a swift end.
Actor and comedian Michael Ian Black took to Twitter and ratcheted up the hostilities dividing our country by referring to the NRA as a terrorist group.According to Townhall, On the issue of Second Amendment rights, what better characters to fan the flames of nonsense than the Hollywood Left, like actor Michael Ian Black, who thinks the NRA might be a terrorist organization. He even looked up “terrorism” in a dictionary. The FBI’s definition is probably the one you should cite in a debate: “There is no single, universally accepted, definition of terrorism. Terrorism is defined in the Code of Federal Regulations as “the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.”
Is the NRA a terrorist organization? I don't know. But I don't think the answer is a definitive "no," and that's troubling enough.

To those who say I don't know what I'm talking about (and I freely admit I often don't), dictionary def. of terrorist organization. NRA? pic.twitter.com/1ohFxNOGFw— Michael Ian Black (@michaelianblack) June 30, 2017
Black’s comments come in light of a video by conservative commentator Dana Loesch made for the NRA that’s been going viral for quite some time now. Here it is, if you haven’t seen it.
The actor attacked gun rights over the weekend too, stating that he hadn’t heard any stories of gun saving lives:
People are still writing in, but so many horrible stories. Family members shooting each other, accidents. No guns saving other people.— Michael Ian Black (@michaelianblack) July 1, 2017
Obviously, this man didn’t pay very close attention to the Alexandria shooting, since it was good guys with a gun who stopped a bad guy with a gun.
Or how about the one where a ten year old boy, left home alone, used a gun to prevent an intruder from coming into his home, saving himself and his sister?
Or the time a woman shot a man nine times who was stalking her after he broke into her home?
When making the case against guns, the whole “guns don’t save lives” bit has plenty of examples that prove it to be false, so perhaps it’s time to drop that argument.
What about many of the so-called “civil rights” groups that have popped up over the last few years that have participated in violent riots and looting? Why do they escape the terrorist label, and the NRA doesn’t?
Oh, because those other groups are liberal.
