A number of liberal journalists weren’t hesitant to dance on the grave of Roger Ailes, immediately following the announcement of his death at age 77.
Yes, Roger Ailes was a TV genius. He also had an apparently monstrous personal life and nasty, dangerous editorial instincts.— Sam Stein (@samsteinhp) May 18, 2017
A lesson of today: if you live as an abusive, cynical scoundrel who loves nothing more than your own power, no one will cry when you die.— Anand Giridharadas (@AnandWrites) May 18, 2017
Roger Ailes has died. Wow. Sending deep and heartfelt condolences to everyone who was abused, harassed, exploited, and unjustly fired by him

I'm sure Roger Ailes is in a worse place looking up at us.

You would be hard pressed to find a man who did more to harm this country than Roger Ailes. That's just a fact. https://t.co/QDwWMOgFQL— Elliott Lusztig (@ezlusztig) May 18, 2017
Roger Ailes was a disgusting and hateful human being. Anything said more positive than that is just sugar trying to make shit taste good.

There’s no defending Ailes regarding the circumstances leading to his resignation at Fox — but you’d think they could’ve waited even a few hours before openly celebrating? Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro (and a handful of other conservatives) couldn’t help but see the hypocrisy:
I notice that many of the same people who mourned Ted Kennedy are celebrating the death of Roger Ailes.

@benshapiro And they'll mourn Bill Clinton.

It’s doubtful these same people will bemoan those who were “abused, harassed, and exploited” when someone like Bill Clinton passes away.
