Schwarzenegger FIRES back at Trump’s ratings jab

Time for a bit of an eye-roll. In between tightening our borders, improving our vetting process for travelers from terror hotbeds, meeting with unions and industry titans in an attempt to spur American job growth, President Trump still has time for a few rounds of celebrity wrestling.

President Obama used to relax by playing basketball and golf. It appears our current president relaxes with rounds of…perhaps we should call it “Twitter frisbee.” He tosses one out, it gets tossed back.

For those keeping score, President Trump has now turned his jabs to former California governor and current host of “The Apprentice,” Arnold Schwarzenegger.

This morning at the annual Prayer Breakfast, (interesting venue) President Trump took some time to remind everyone of his “tremendous success” on “Celebrity Apprentice” and took a shot at Schwarzenegger for the dip in ratings after he took over as host.

Per The Hill, “They hired a big, big movie star, Arnold Schwarzenegger to take my place, and we know how that turned out,” Trump said at the breakfast.

“The ratings went right down the tubes. It’s been a total disaster. And [producer] Mark [Burnett] will never, ever bet against Trump again, and I want to just pray for Arnold, if we can, for those ratings.”

In his Twitter video, Schwarzenegger suggested that the president could switch with him and come back to his reality show.

“Hey Donald I have a great idea. Why don’t we switch jobs? You take over TV, because you’re such an expert in ratings, and I take over your job,” said Schwarzenegger in a video. “And then people can finally sleep comfortable again. Hmm?”

A spokesman for Schwarzenegger also sent a statement to ABC News following Trump’s Thursday remarks.

Perhaps the president is cleverly helping boost the ratings of the show by inventing this little feud. He’s crazy like a fox. After all, he’s still listed as a producer for the show…

Who said politics is boring?
