While our president putts, and makes funny faces to goad Americans into signing up for Obamacare (if you like your selfie stick, you can keep your selfie stick – in fact, I’ll tell you where you can stick your selfie stick…), our allies in Israel are gearing up for an election that may literally be a matter of life and death.Netanyahu’s Likud party has put out a wryly uncomfortable ad showing ISIS members driving through the desert and asking directions to Jerusalem.
According to the translation provided by Independent Review Analysis, the terrorists stop a motorist who tells them to “take Left.”
The graphic accompanied by gunshots says “The Left Will Surrender To Terror.”As the ISIS vehicle drives away, it has a bumper sticker saying “Just Not Bibi.” The final graphic reads,”It’s either us or them. Only the Likud. Only Netanyahu.”
Interestingly, the anti-Israel Jordanian rap group Torabyeh whose song is featured in the ad is angry that their song has been used without permission.According to their Facebook page, “We strongly condemn and reject this ruthless infringement of intellectual property rights and the distortion of the reputation of Torabyeh. What is more, we reject all forms of cooperation with the Zionist enemy (right and left) and the fascist expansionist colonial entity. Torabyeh group will take all necessary legal action against those responsible.”
But then they also say, “Victory for the Palestinian people and the Arab against colonialism, Glory to the martyrs.”
So…they’re upset that their anti-Israel lyrics are being used to make an anti-Israel point? I’m confused.[Note: this article was written by Michele Hickford, Editor-in-Chief]
