Mohsin Akram, 21, is another of the millions of military-aged Arab males who’ve left their homelands in the Middle East to seek and be granted asylum in Western Europe. Mariam Hussain was a teenaged, bright-eyed liberal British idealist who thought, as many do, that these men are just misunderstood and all that stuff about the Quran teaching that women are worth half a man, that women must cover their skin and hair, that men have authority over their wives and are allowed to beat them was just rightwing hate speech. Sadly, she has learned otherwise.Originally from Pakistan, Akram left to seek asylum in the the UK. However his plan wasn’t just to relocate there; he sought to marry a British woman and obtain a visa. Which he did. The two met on Facebook when Hussain was just 19 years old and married soon thereafter. Once married, Akram implemented the same Islamic rules millions of women are subjected to in Sharia-governed nations around the world. He prohibited her from leaving the house without him, having a cell phone, or accessing the internet.
Then the unthinkable happened.According to the UK Daily Mail Akram came home at 1:00am after a night of drinking and discovered Mariam did not have his dinner ready. This so incensed the young man he picked up a pair of claw hammers and began beating her with them.
Mohsin Akram, 21, repeatedly beat Mariam Hussain while drunk at their home in Cardiff. He battered her with first one and then two hammers, shouting ‘you’ve had your chance to be a good wife’ as she begged him to stop, saying that he was hurting her.
The brute treated the 20-year-old, who he met on Facebook and married to get a visa, as a prisoner in her own home.Full-time mother Mrs Hussain told a court how she was ‘bruised all over’ in the 10-minute sustained attack before she managed to escape and call for help. She raced out of the first floor flat and pleaded with three girls for help, who hid her in a doorway and called police.
This is not the first time Akram has attacked his wife. He was convicted of battery in 2015 following another assault on Mrs Hussain and was handed a community order. Akram was jailed for 15 months after pleading guilty to Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm.
He also pleaded guilty to production of a Class B drug and criminal damage and was in breach of the community order imposed in 2015.”A real model citizen, this guy. As horrific as the story is this isn’t where it ends.
Once gone to trial, the evidence in the assault case was so overwhelming that Akram was of course found guilty. Mind you, he beat a young woman who was sleeping at the time with hammers, there were eye witnesses, police and hospital records, yet rather than order his immediate deportation back to Pakistan the judge in the case chose to give Akram “…a restraining order which states he must not approach Mrs Hussain contact her directly or indirectly or go within 50 yards of her address. Mrs Hussain is furious a judge chose not to exercise deportation powers and she is calling on the Home Office to review his asylum status once he is released from prison.
Speaking after the sentencing, Mrs Hussain, who has filed for divorce, said: ‘The judge could have said he is to be deported but didn’t. There are so many reasons why he should be deported.”The liberal obsession with protecting the reputation of Islam shows up again. We can only hope this zealot does not hunt his soon-to-be-ex-wife down and do further harm to her.
Now that their nations are being overrun by such ‘models’ as Akram, how are the people of Europe reacting? As we saw in France yesterday — by electing more of the same leadership that’s done this to them in the first place. Good luck with that.
