Throughout the Republican Primary, Ronald Reagan’s son Michael Reagan made it clear that he was no fan of Donald Trump. While Trump branded himself a Reaganite on occasion, Michael couldn’t help but publicly disagree.
Back in June, he was quoted as saying that he wouldn’t vote for Donald Trump, and neither would his father. However, this was in context of the California Primary. While Marco Rubio, Jeb! Bush, John Kasich, and (to a chorus of boos) Ted Cruz refuse to endorse Trump, or even confirm that they’ll be voting for them, Reagan is changing his tune now that Trump is the last man standing.
In response to Cruz’s speech at the RNC last night, he Tweeted out:
Was Cruz thinking about 2020 not 2016.Is that why he didn't endorse? How does that unite the Republican Party.Sad and Selfish— Michael Reagan (@ReaganWorld) July 21, 2016
Ironically, that Tweet came right after a Tweet about how he was enjoying Cruz’s speech.

If anybody has convinced me to support Trump it's been his children…The Donald must be very proud,he should be..@realDonaldTrump— Michael Reagan (@ReaganWorld) July 21, 2016
I'm sorry, but tonight Ted Cruz demonstrated he is willing to place self before country. https://t.co/NIkTc0bzhh

He also retweeted the following from David Horowitz:
Cruz gave a number of arguments to vote for Trump, then failed to endorse. Kinda like Comey refusal to indict HRC https://t.co/NJBF1F3V8w

While it’s frustrating that Cruz still refused to endorse Trump, he did tell us to vote our conscience, and I don’t think anyone with a conscience would ever vote for Hillary Clinton.
