If there’s one Democrat who’s suffered the most severe side effects from the now-often referred to “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” it’s surely Maxine Waters. The California congresswoman has come out as the most vocal and perhaps the most enraged opponent of the president since he took office in January. We previously reported that Waters took a shot at HUD Secretary, Ben Carson, threatening among other things, to “take his ass apart” and questioning his experience and his qualifications to hold the post in the most vile of terms. Despite the pushback received from these comments that are quite simply unbecoming of an elected official, Waters is going full-throttle and will not stop at any cost until she sees the Trump administration extinguished once and for all.
Waters gave us a piece of her mind in her latest encounter with the New York Times. From the Hill:
“Trump was just so outrageous, so disrespectful, such a bully and dangerous for this country, I decided, ‘You know what? I’m taking the gloves off and I’m going to step out.”
“I was going to not only challenge him but encourage others to see him for what he is: basically a bully, an egotistical maniac, a liar and someone who did not need to be president.”“All we have to do is make sure we are talking to the American public, we are keeping them involved, we are challenging every day, we are resisting every day.”
Instead of calling Democrats to arms, Waters should get back to the drawing board and start focusing on what she was elected to do: serving her constituents and being a role model to the next generation of aspiring political leaders. Her behavior is nothing short of embarrassing and should be condemned by the upper echelon of the Democrat Party.
Of course, that will never happen.[Note: This article was written by Zachary Smith]
