Losing it? Kasich SNAPS when reporter asks him the UNTHINKABLE

Ohio Gov. John Kasich’s “jeez-oh-man,” “only adult in the room” act is wearing awfully thin by now. As are the candidate’s nerves, apparently, judging from this little exchange with a reporter this afternoon.

Apparently, the candidate — whose unofficial role is official GOP primary spoiler — doesn’t like being asked why he’s only won a single state in the Republican presidential primary.

On Monday, the Ohio governor — whose lone victory was in his home state — was talking up his chances when Demetri Sevastopulo, a reporter for the Financial Times, interrupted him.

“Listen, at the end of the day I think the Republican Party wants to pick somebody who actually can win in the fall…” Kasich began.

“If you’ve only won Ohio…” Sevastopulo butted in.

“Can I finish?” Kasich said testily.

“If you answer the question,” Sevastopulo responded.

“I’m answering the question the way I want to answer it,” Kasich said. “You want to answer it?”

Kasich then snatched Sevastopulo’s voice recorder out of his hand and turned it toward him: “What do you think?”

“I think you should answer the question,” Sevastopulo said.

The exchange was captured by Ben Marino, a video journalist for the FT:

Gosh, somehow the question about winning only one state seemed perfectly legit to me — as would asking Kasich about how he’s still in the race when he *still* has fewer delegates than the guy who dropped out a month ago.

Apparently, when you’re delusional, one of the worst offenses someone can commit is confronting you with the brutal truth.
