June 30th marked the end of the annual “LGBTQ Pride Month,” though this year it was actually “Pride and Resist Month” (exactly what was being resisted is still unclear). To commemorate the end of the month, the liberals who run the Boston Public Library system decided to go out with a bang by hosting a “Drag Queen Story Story Time” event for young children.
These are things you can’t make up. It gets worse. To “host” the event the library brought in the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.” With chapters nationwide, the “Sisters” are gay men who — rather than simply keep their sexuality private (which we’d all prefer) — choose to don excessive makeup and dress like nuns including in habits, crucifixes and other holy adornments to mock the Catholic faith. They then flaunt their disdain and intolerance for our Judeo-Christian ethic by parading in the streets and performing simulated sex acts on one another, staging blasphemous contests and other actions too vile to be discussed here.
Great group of role models these guys are; yet that’s exactly what the Boston Public Library has made them.
As reported on CBN News:“The Boston Public Library is coming under fire after hosting a “Drag Queen Story Time” event for young children. On June 29, the library brought in the “The Boston Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” — a group of drag queens who dress as Catholic Nuns – for a “story time” with young children.
The Boston Public Library Facebook page put up a photo of the event.
Two days before the event on June 27, a picture was posted by the “Children’s Library, Boston Public Library” Facebook page.
The photo’s caption says “Let’s end Pride Month with a drag…drag queen story time, that is! Join us on Thursday, June 29th at 3:30 for another visit from the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.”
Just to be clear about exactly who these individuals are, the “Sisters” were founded and headquartered in San Francisco. If that isn”t enough to tell you all all you need to know, their official slogan is “Go forth and sin some more.”The article details some of the comments left on the Boston Public Library’s Facebook page…
“Shameful!! I can’t believe tax dollars support this. Mocking Catholic nuns does not promote literacy or intellectualism, which I presume the library is there for. This is just indoctrination and bigotry at its finest.”
This is an attack on the Catholic Church and those who practice the faith. I highly doubt you would allow these individuals to mock Muslims, or any other religion for that matter. Not cool.”
“Does anyone know why this library didn’t just get the peaceful Catholic nuns for a story time event versus drag queens dressed to mock the Catholic faith?”
This prompted the Library to issue the following statement:
“Boston Public Library reviews all feedback and comments we receive on our programming, which helps to inform future program selection for our patrons. “The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,” are self-dubbed “queer nuns,” based out of San Francisco.
They claim to “use humor and irreverent wit to expose the forces of bigotry, complacency and guilt that chain the human spirit,” and say they are “devoted” to “promoting human rights, respect for diversity and spiritual enlightenment.”
Oh yeah, they’re all about opposing bigotry and respecting diversity alright. Its amazing how these people simply cannot see their own hypocrisy.
This country once held that some things were sacred and off-limits. Sadly, as far as the far left is concerned, it appears that was a long, long time ago.
