AL’S FRANK: After Kathy Griffin flip-flop, Franken’s DECISIVE about Bill Maher

Last week, when Kathy Griffin posted a picture of President Trump’s severed head, essentially imploding her own career, most of us sat around saying, “there’s no possible way anyone can top that,” and that’s the exact moment super liberal Bill Maher gave the equivalent of “hold my beer.”

Maher recently used the “N-word” on his television show on HBO, and he’s been paying for it ever since, with the latest casualty being Sen. Al Franken, who has cancelled his next appearance on the show, slated for this Friday.

Granted, what Maher did wasn’t on par with what Griffin did, but it was just as destructive, and he’s surely feeling the consequences right about now.

Maher is totally getting what he deserves.

Fox News reports:

Sen. Al Franken has canceled his upcoming appearance on “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

HBO announced on Tuesday Friday’s guests would now include Ice Cube, journalist David Gregory and former Florida Rep. David Jolly.

Franken (D-Minn.) was set to appear on the series but changed his mind after Maher used the N-word on his show last week, sparking uproar.

A spokesperson for the 66-year-old former “Saturday Night Live” writer told TMZ the senator feels Maher’s words were “inappropriate and offensive.”

Maher was having a back-and-forth on June 2 with Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) during his episode when the senator invited the liberal talk-show host to visit his state.

“We’d love to have you work in the fields with us,” Sasse joked. Maher responded, “Work in the fields? Senator, I’m a house [expletive].”

HBO wasn’t too thrilled with his use of the word, and Maher, himself, said he lost sleep over the incident.

Too little, too late, especially on the heels of GriffinGate.

It comes down to one brutal truth. Sure, you have the right to say whatever you want, but that doesn’t mean that just because you can, you should. Nor does it mean you won’t catch hell for the words you push out into the atmosphere.

You truly do reap what you sow.
