Earlier today, Donald Trump held a press conference where reporters thought he’d address allegations he was still a birther, but instead used the opportunity to showcase all the endorsements he’d received from military heros. Not until the end of the press conference did he confirm that he was no longer a birther, and left the stage before taking questions. The left’s association with the Black Lives Matter and related anti-police movements has destroyed any chance the Democrat Party had at scoring the endorsement of law enforcement this election season. Instead, they’re backing The Donald. As The Hill just reported: The nation’s largest police union on Friday endorsed Donald Trump for president, lauding his commitment to police officers.
The Fraternal Order of Police gave the GOP presidential nominee its endorsement after he received support from more than two-thirds of the group’s national board.“[Trump] has seriously looked at the issues facing law enforcement today. He understands and supports our priorities and our members believe he will make America safe again,” said Chuck Canterbury, the FOP’s national president.
“He’s made a real commitment to America’s law enforcement and we’re proud to make a commitment to him and his campaign by endorsing his candidacy today.”

Trump made an aggressive play for support of the police officers’ union after making “law and order” part of his campaign message.
The businessman met with the leaders of The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) at Trump Tower in May and has made stops on the campaign trail at the union’s local chapters. “I’m on your side 1,000 percent,” Trump told a FOP chapter in North Carolina. “What you do is incredible.”Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton’s campaign has attracted the support of the father of the man responsible for the worst mass public shooting in American history — and worst terrorist attack on our soil since 9/11.
