Hidden camera shock: Jewish man spit on, cursed as he walks in Paris [VIDEO]

Inspired by a YouTube video in which a New York woman filmed all the sexist remarks she experienced while walking through the streets of her city, Zvika Klein, a reporter for Jewish news outlet NRG decided to walk the streets of Paris. In the wake of the attack on the kosher supermarket last month, Klein wanted to see if anti-Semitism was really just “random” (as President Obama would have us believe).

Klein wore a yarmulke (skullcap) and tzitzit (ritual tassles) as he walked around Paris with a bodyguard while photographer Dov Belhassen documented his day using a GoPro camera hidden in his backpack.

Klein walked around the Eiffel Tower, in Jewish neighborhoods and then through mostly Muslim neighborhoods.

In the article accompanying his video Klein says, “Go f*** from the front and the back,” “Viva Palestine,” “Hey you, with the kippa, what are you doing here?” these were only a few of the remarks sent my way as I was walking through the streets of Paris wearing a tzitzit and a kippa.”

“Welcome to Paris 2015, where soldiers are walking every street that houses a Jewish institution, and where keffiyeh-wearing men and veiled women speak Arabic on every street corner. Walking down one Parisian suburb, I was asked what I doing there. In modern-day Paris, you see, Jews are barred from entering certain areas.”

Here is a copy of his original video.

Klein says, “ The majority of French Jews do not flaunt their religion, as the Jewish community leaders have urged them to wear hats as they walk to and from work, or go bareheaded. But what about nighttime? Well, Jews prefer to stay inside in the evening. It is safer at home.”

My friends, an ominous ill wind is blowing over Europe, and we are naïve to believe it will not reach our shores. This is the climate change we should be worrying about.
