If there is one single reason for the GOP to capture the Senate in the midterm elections this coming November, it is the removal of Harry Reid as Senate Majority Leader. His latest mindless statement reflects his abject dismissal for the safety and security of our men and women serving in uniform — and indeed all Americans.According to Newsmax, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says he’s happy they’ve been freed and sent to Qatar.
“Guantanamo has been there far too long, and I think that we should get them out of there as quickly as we can,” he said of the remaining 150 prisoners still classified as “enemy combatants” and held without charges.“We’ve been held up from doing that by the Republicans, not wanting any of them to be tried here in the United States even though our record here is really quite good,” Reid said on Tuesday. “So I’m glad to get rid of these five people, send them back to Qatar.”
So let me get this right, Senator Harry Reid is glad to get rid of these people? He is glad that the top five senior members of the Taliban leadership have been set free? He is glad that we negotiated with the enemy to free the enemy while we are still engaged in combat operations against the enemy? Reid is glad that the Qataris have already stated these cheeky fellas will be able to roam free and perhaps go back to Afghanistan if they desire?
So when these savage barbarians do as we all know they will, and go back to planning and executing terrorist attacks, will Reid be as giddy? I am quite sure Reid was dancing to Pharrell’s song “like a room without a roof” while watching the emotional reunion of these killers with their bloodthirsty comrades. How many Americans sacrificed to capture those five individuals – I wonder if they are glad like Reid? I would be glad, if “getting rid” of these five people meant they were receiving their requisite share of virgins — but in the liberal progressive world, that’s being mean, disgraceful, and war criminal-like.
That does not make liberals happy. But setting terrorists free does.
