It was Obama’s first White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, who famously quipped, “never let a good crisis go to waste.” And we’ve certainly got a “good crisis” on our southern border – just hard to keep all these crises separate. At least on this crisis, Texas Governor Rick Perry has had enough indecision from President Obama and will take action. Gov. Perry has announced he’ll be issuing orders to send his Texas National Guard to the border, especially after reports of Mexican drug cartels firing .50 cal sniper rifles across the border into Texas aimed at U.S. Border Patrol agents.
Lefty liberal progressives are already decrying “militarization” of our border — well, yeah — why don’t you rascals go and get shot at by a .50cal slug and then tell me your border ain’t militarized. These transnational criminal organizations are just as deadly a threat as the Islamist jihadist groups they facilitate crossing the border into the United States. So it’s one thing for Obama to do nothing once there is a crisis. But what if the Obama administration knew this crisis was coming all along and did nothing to stop it? We already reported that the government was advertising for “escort services” in January. What if they knew even earlier than that?
According to the Washington Post, “Nearly a year before President Obama declared a humanitarian crisis on the border, a team of experts arrived at the Fort Brown patrol station in Brownsville, Tex., and discovered a makeshift transportation depot for a deluge of foreign children. Thirty Border Patrol agents were assigned in August 2013 to drive the children to off-site showers, wash their clothes and make them sandwiches. As soon as those children were placed in temporary shelters, more arrived. An average of 66 were apprehended each day on the border and more than 24,000 cycled through Texas patrol stations in 2013.”
“In a 41-page report to the Department of Homeland Security, the team from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) raised alarms about the federal government’s capacity to manage a situation that was expected to grow worse. The researchers’ observations were among the warning signs conveyed to the Obama administration over the past two years as a surge of Central American minors has crossed into south Texas illegally.”That means the administration was informed about the coming invasion as early as 2012 – of course at that time, there was an election to win.
So could it be that Barack Hussein Obama was deliberately and willfully negligent in the discharge of his duties to protect the American people and the sovereignty of our Constitutional Republic? Did Obama violate Article 4, Section 4 of the US Constitution; “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion?”
I mean after all, he did tell us he was a constitutional scholar. The Washington Post says “Federal officials viewed the situation as a “local problem,” said Victor Manjarrez Jr., a former Border Patrol station chief who led the UTEP study.. A broader crisis was “not on anyone’s radar,” Manjarrez added, even though “it was pretty clear this number of kids — part of the 57,000 — was going to be the new baseline.” Cecilia Muñoz, Obama’s domestic policy adviser (in other words designated domestic disciple of deceit (D4)), said the administration and key agencies had made adjustments over time to deal with the influx of children but then responded with urgency once federal officials realized in May that the numbers would far exceed internal projections of 60,000 minors crossing the border in 2014. Revised Border Patrol estimates now suggest the number could reach 90,000 by the end of September.”
So whom will you believe, D4 or the U.S. Border Patrol? Just great, right in time to hit our schools with all their communicable diseases.
“What happened this year was . . . off-the-charts different,” Muñoz said. “It was not the same pattern. We assumed a significant increase, but this was not the same kind of trend line. “This trend was more like a hockey stick, going up and up and up,” Muñoz added. “Nobody could have predicted the scale of the increase we saw this year. The minute we saw it, we responded in an aggressive way.”
Not true Ms. D4, there have not been any actions — certainly not aggressive action taken at all — just the request for more money: $3.7 billion to buy up lawyers, not secure the border and turn these illegals around. Oops, I misspoke; there actually has been an aggressive, albeit covert, action to disperse these illegals all across America at the expense of the American taxpayer.
