What Elizabeth Warren just admitted about Ann Coulter will BLOW YOUR MIND

There must be something in the water consumed by our senators in Congress, because another liberal has suddenly become a proponent of free speech, coming to the defense of conservative firebrand Ann Coulter.

Coulter, who was practically president of the Donald Trump fan club during the election, has been all over the news recently, thanks to controversy surrounding a pending speaking engagement at the University of California, Berkeley.

The school, of course, didn’t want her to speak, claiming her presence would spark riots on campus. As if liberals don’t love a good riot, right? BLM anyone?

Sen. Bernie Sanders recently came to her aid, calling students who opposed her speech “intellectually lazy.”

If that’s not enough to convince you the apocalypse is nigh, everyone’s favorite lefty, Sen. Elizabeth Warren — the woman Trump not-so affectionately refers to as Pocahontas — is also supporting Coulter’s right to speak.

The Blaze is reporting:

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) publicly defended Ann Coulter’s right to speak on Monday, saying the conservative author should be permitted to address students at the University of California, Berkeley.

“You know, look, Ann Coulter has gotten a bigger platform because someone tried to deny her a chance to speak,” Warren told CNN’s Jake Tapper. “My view is, let her speak and just don’t show up. If you don’t like it, don’t show up.”

The senator’s comments came after UC-Berkeley cancelled Coulter’s appearance last week, citing security concerns. The school’s administrators feared Coulter’s presence on campus would incite more violent riots.

“Given currently active security threats, it is not possible to assure that the event could be held successfully — or that the safety of Ms. Coulter, the event sponsors, audience, and bystanders could be adequately protected — at any of the campus venues,” the university said in a statement.

Are Warren and Sanders suddenly awakening to the reality that progressivism and socialism don’t actually work, and the only way to preserve a free society is by protecting each individual’s right to express their ideas openly?

Not likely.

Perhaps it’s just that these two, like many liberals, are inconsistent in their beliefs and aren’t aware they hold conflicting ideas on matters of importance.

Claiming to be for free speech while also wanting to silence those who have an alternate point of view and labeling it “hate speech” would be a major tip-off.

Coulter should be allowed to speak, and those who don’t like what she’s about can simply stay home, as Warren suggested.

The path of liberalism is never simple, though, is it?
