The hypocrisy of the Obama administration seems to have no end whatsoever — so here is just another policy that is on the ballot this election cycle. Apparently when it comes to respect, the river flows only one way with the Obama administration.Perhaps many of you don’t recall when Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon “insulted” Secretary of State John Kerry, calling him “messianic” and “obsessive,” the White House publicly called his comments offensive and demanded they be retracted. “To question Secretary Kerry’s motives and distort his proposals is not something we would expect from the defense minister of a close ally,” former White House Press Sec. Jay Carney said. “The remarks of the Defense Minister [Ya’alon], if accurate, are offensive and inappropriate especially given all that the United States is doing to support Israel’s security needs, and will continue to do,” State Department spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki concurred. “To question [Sec. Kerry’s] motives and distort his proposals is not something we would expect from the defense minister of a close ally.” Before long, Ya’alon issued a statement insisting that he did not intend to offend the American secretary of state and apologized for his remarks.”
Sorry, but based on Kerry’s continual brow-beating of Israel and his cozy relationship with Qatar and Turkey, I’d have picked more choice words than Ya’alon. But that was the point when the Obama White House began to relegate Israel into some subservient position demanding an apology. What about that little off-mic incident with President Obama and then-French President Sarkozy where Obama complained about “having to deal with” Prime Minster Netanyahu? Any apology there demanded or given?
And so we come to this latest episode in the disrespect category in the stormy relationship — regardless of what is stated on record — between this Obama administration and the State of Israel.
As reported by Hot Air, “It is fair to say that an unnamed administration official calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “aspergery” and a “chickensh*t,” among other unflattering traits, has ignited a genuine diplomatic row. For the sake of public appearances, the White House is brushing the comments aside. “What I can tell you is that in the clearest terms possible, in the most open forum possible, that those comments as they were reported do not accurately reflect at all this administration’s view about the nation of Israel, the strength of the relationship between our two countries, or the leadership of that important ally,” said White House Press Sec. Josh Earnest on Wednesday.”However, the White House has stated it will not issue an apology to Prime Minister Netanyahu — nor will it investigate the incident and expose the White House official who made such disparaging statements. That would lead one to believe the words expressed by this individual in an interview for The Atlantic magazine are generally accepted by this administration.
And just as a side point, where are the Democrat Jewish senators and represenatives on this issue? Where is the statement from the DNC Chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz? I guess we certainly know whom they serve — what an incredible slap in the face to all American Jews. I’m quite sure the folks at J-Street, the pro-Palestinian Jewish lobby group, were smiling and agreeing wholeheartedly with these disgusting characterizations of the leader of the only democracy in the Middle East and our supposed ally.
Could you imagine the fallout if someone in the Netanyahu administration had uttered such words? Well, first of all Al Sharpton would be on the rampage screaming racism and Eric Holder would have dispatched the FBI and his civil rights division to Jerusalem to conduct an investigation. Funny thing, they couldn’t seem to get to Benghazi, Libya but I’m sure they’d be all over the Holy City. And don’t laugh — remember it was Eric Holder who sent the FBI to investigate a fella who had a caricature of Obama on a parade float next to an outhouse. You see, it is criminal to speak ill of his highness the Obama — much as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation wants to criminalize speech via UN Resolution 16/18 — which Obama supports. But just as with the UN, it seems the Obama administration embraces condemnation of Israel as a standard operating procedure.
I find it unconscionable that some pimple-faced wuss in the Obama administration would lob such a truly cowardly verbal assault against someone who is a former Airborne Commando — who’s been shot at and lost his brother in combat. A man who leads and defends a country surrounded by enemies sworn to one goal — the destruction of his country and its people. I find it unfathomable that Obama and his White House, who have made it a regular practice to go after reporters, leakers and whistleblowers won’t pursue the individual who made these abhorrent proclamations.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s character is evidenced in his response: “I’m being attacked simply because I defend the State of Israel.” No sir, you are being attacked by those of far lesser character who look upon you with disdain knowing they will never possess the strength of character and principle you have in your little toe. Unfortunately for the United States, this is what we’ve allowed to rise to positions of power in our country, sir — and therefore, let me apologize to you, from a brother paratrooper, for the incessant disrespect that President Barack Hussein Obama and his cronies have directed towards you and the people of the State of Israel. I apologize that America let y’all down in 2008 and 2012 and elected this as a president. Forgive us sir, and know that somehow we shall correct this mistake — we hope it begins November 4th.
