When Barack Hussein Obama referred to the Islamic terror Army known as ISIS as the “JV” team, was he mistakenly referring to his own team? After all, how could it be possible that this threat which even Osama bin Laden knew was dangerous from this 21-page memo was so easily dismissed. It’s déjà vu all over again, when an entire continent sat back and watched the Nazi war machine of Adolf Hitler rise and embark upon its conquests. Except this time, these savages have a bankroll and social media.
But somehow the threat seems to have escaped our JV team in the White House.
As reported by the Washington Times, “The White House is facing questions about whether it underestimated the threat from Islamic State militants in Iraq after the surfacing of a 2011 speech by John O. Brennan, then President Obama’s counterterrorism chief and now CIA director, who dismissed the danger of an Islamic caliphate as “absurd.”
You might recall this speech in Arabic given by John Brennan and you just have to ask, huh? Is this the fella we truly wanted as counter-terrorism advisor and now as CIA Director? Talk about JV. Now, if this were the private sector and someone on the senior staff had delivered a false forecast which resulted in horrible returns for the company — hmm, would the Board of Directors vote on firing said individual? Or perhaps the CEO would kindly request a resignation?
But in government, the person gets a promotion and is running our chief foreign intelligence agency, the CIA. Not only do we have an Islamic caliphate spanning Syria and Iraq, there’s also one declared in eastern Libya. So what part of “absurd” does John Brennan not get? You see, I think the American people, as the Board of Directors, should demand the firing of Brennan — because the CEO, Barack Obama, certainly won’t.Here’s what Brennan had to say in 2011:
“A feckless delusion?” As I read this statement and watched his speech I came to realize that Brennan, and indeed the Obama administration, live in a fantasy world, not the real one. They need to take that infamous “blue pill” and depart the Matrix. The Obama foreign policy doctrine isn’t based on “not doing stupid [email protected]” but based on seeing the world as they desire it. The live in an echo chamber where they tell themselves, “don’t worry, it is not so bad up there on Mt. Sinjar. It’s not as bad as we thought because we did such a fantastic job dropping humanitarian relief for four days. “
“Our strategy is … shaped by a deeper understanding of al-Qaida’s goals, strategy and tactics. I’m not talking about al-Qaida’s grandiose vision of global domination through a violent Islamic caliphate. That vision is absurd, and we are not going to organize our counterterrorism policies against a feckless delusion that is never going to happen. We are not going to elevate these thugs and their murderous aspirations into something larger than they are.”
In all reality, the vision of Barack Obama is the “feckless delusion” where he actually believes he is an effective leader and the world is a “tranquil” place and his administration is “transparent.”
As Brennan said, a caliphate is not going to happen. In the military, commanders are trained to prepare for the enemy’s Most Dangerous Course of Action (MDCOA) — not your most desired course of action. So with complete blinders on, the decision was made not to “elevate these thugs” — as if Islamic terrorists exist to have the Obama administration grant them respect and title. I applaud Texas Governor Rick Perry for saying what needs to be said about the enemies at the border: we are not facing cartels, we are facing narco-terrorists.
And so, two years later, the Islamic State declared a caliphate in a territory covering northern Syria and northwestern Iraq. Although the militants don’t meet Mr. Brennan’s definition of “global domination,” they are enough of a threat to Iraq and the West that Mr. Obama last week ordered airstrikes and a humanitarian mission to blunt the group’s swift progress.
And sadly enough, the White House agrees with and stands by Brennan. The Times reports “John Brennan’s analysis has stood — and will continue to stand — the test of time,” according to National Security Council spokesman Ned Price. “While [the Islamic State] has made tactical gains in Iraq in recent weeks, al-Qaida’s aspirations for global domination remain delusional.”
How cute the liberal progressives are with their little word games. So have no fear everyone — remember, al-Qaida is on the run and has been decimated — another example of “feckless delusion.”
So on Thursday Obama said, “we have broken the ISIS siege of Mt. Sinjar.” How long before this JV team proves the Obama administration wrong once again?
However the real question is, will the American Board of Directors wake up in time for the November midterms?
