For the last week or so, the news cycle has been bombarded with stories about all of the nonsense coming out of Hillary Clinton’s newest book — a whole tome making excuses for why she lost, pointing the finger at just about anyone other than herself. How egotistical does one person have to be in order to write an entire book about why they lost one election? Do you see any other politicians doing this?
Sarah Huckabee-Sanders was recently asked if President Trump was going to read the book. Here’s how she responded, according to IJR:
Blake asked, “Will the president be reading Hillary Clinton’s book, and what does he think about the excerpts that have gotten out so far?”
Sanders responded:“Whether or not he’s going to read Hillary Clinton’s book, I’m not sure. But I would think that he’s pretty well-versed on what happened. And I think it’s pretty clear to all of America.”
“I think it’s sad that after Hillary Clinton ran one of the most negative campaigns in history and lost, and the last chapter of her public life is going to be now defined by propping up book sales with false and reckless attacks. And I think that that’s a sad way for her to continue.”
Just to give you a little context for the sort of wackiness that’s contained in this book, check out this chart:
Along with this sheer insanity, Clinton puts much of the blame for her loss on sexism, claiming that the reason people don’t like her is because she is a woman. Not because she caused four Americans to die in Benghazi, then tried to cover it up. Not because she got a child rapist off the hook during her days as an attorney, or because she used a private email server and lied about it when secretary of state.
But because she is a woman.
Huckabee-Sanders pretty much nailed this thing on the head. The only reason for writing this book is to monetize her failure and find a way to capitalize on all of the hatred the left has for Trump as a means of getting one last massive paycheck and public push.
This was a golden opportunity to show the world how to lose gracefully and bounce back stronger than before, but instead, she took the sleazier way out, and sought to profit off of it.
