Left-wing activists have taken to the streets of America demanding that statues of historical figures from the Confederacy be taken down. They feel the monuments represent the oppression of American blacks. But there’s an organization in the United States that’s responsible for the deaths of far more blacks than the KKK, Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson combined. And rather than demand it be destroyed, the Left fights to maintain its public funding and reveres its founder.
Margaret Sanger (1879 – 1966) was the founder of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, wherein she initiated “The Negro Project” in 1939. The objective of the Negro Project was to reverse the growth of the black community by infiltrating it with birth control services. If killing blacks off altogether was not possible, then it sought to at least greatly reduce the black growth rate through abortion and sterilization.
Her vision has become wildly successful. Though black females of child-bearing age only make up about 6 percent of the U.S. population, they account for about 35 percent of all abortions. This year, more than 40 years after the Roe decision was reached, it’s estimated that another 1,900 black babies will be killed per day in the United States.
A bust and memorial to Sanger is on display in the (publicly-funded) Smithsonian, ironically in its “Struggle for Justice” exhibit. But turning the tables on hypocritical liberals, a group of black pastors has been calling for its removal. From Life News:
“A group of African American pastors is upper [sic] their demand for the taxpayer-funded Smithsonian to remove a statue of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger. The museum has so far refused their request to remove the statue of the eugenics-supporting founder of the abortion business caught selling aborted babies and their body parts.
The museum has the Sanger bust in their “Struggle for Justice” exhibit, which is supposed to honor those of the past who were “champions of justice.” A sign beneath the sculpture says that Sanger was “profoundly affected by the physical and mental toll exacted on women by frequent childbirth, miscarriage and self-induced abortion.”The pastors wrote the Smithsonian a letter explaining that Sanger was far from a champion for their race because of her strong ties to the eugenics movement. However, their request to have the bust removed has been denied.
In a response, Smithsonian director, Kim Sajet, said, “I received your letter regarding the legacy of Margaret Sanger and respectfully decline to remove her portrait from the museum. The Struggle for Justice gallery brings attention to major cultural and political figures from the 19th century to the present day who fought to achieve civil rights for disenfranchised or marginalized groups.”So the Smithsonian is doubling down on it’s claim that Sanger “fought to achieve civil rights” for blacks … by herding them into clinics to have their children exterminated and women sterilized.
Activist founder of C.U.R.E. (Center for Urban Renewal and Education) Star Parker commented that, “Margaret Sanger is a racist who wanted to end the black population through birth control and abortion. She founded Planned Parenthood. But The Smithsonian, funded by our tax dollars, celebrates this woman, even mentioning her advocacy of eugenics! They don’t even hide it! It is breath-taking in its idiocy.”
Abortion has decimated the black community, and it’s no wonder; some 86 percent of Planned Parenthood clinics are in ethnic-minority neighborhoods. Black activists have been trying to get liberals to remove this homage to this butcher, but they won’t do it. For years, liberals have been defending the public funding of her organization, too, even though they know exactly what she espoused.
Put two and two together, my black brothers and sisters: Through our blind, resolute insistence on supporting the liberal political machine, we are exterminating ourselves.
