Immediately after Barcelona attack, CNN floats DESPICABLE theory about what caused it

Fourteen were killed Thursday in Barcelona, Spain, when a van rammed into the famous Las Ramblas tourist area. Eighty were also injured.

Police have released a photo of a man named Driss Oubakir, who is alleged to have rented the van in the terror attack. He’s reportedly in his 20s and was born in Morocco.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack not long after it was carried out.

Car attacks have become increasingly common among jihadists, with such attacks taking place in Nice, France; Berlin, Germany; and Stockholm, Sweden. Both ISIS and al-Qaeda have drawn attention to the tactic in their respective propaganda magazines (Rumiyah and Inspire). In a fall 2010 edition of Inspire, an entire article was dedicated to vehicular jihad.

“It is a simple idea and there is not much involved in its preparation,” the article said. “All what is needed is the willingness to give one’s life for Allah.”

Under the headline, “The ultimate mowing machine,” and a picture of a pickup truck, the writer explains in graphic terms how jihadists should pick their targets and rig their vehicles “to achieve maximum carnage.”

Among the advice included:

Pick your location and timing carefully. Go for the most crowed locations. Narrower spots are also better because it gives less chance for the people to run away. Avoid locations where other vehicles may intercept you.

The November edition of Rumiyah also gave advice on truck attacks, and featured images of rental trucks and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade under an article headlined, “Just Terror Tactics.”

So, it’s pretty obvious that such an attack is Islamist in nature, correct?

Not to CNN, who thinks that this style of attack was somehow inspired by the white supremacist who drove into a crowd of protesters in Charlottesville.

Well, they don’t call it “fake news” for nothing.
