GOP senator courts MSM by calling President Trump ‘incompetent’

Apparently, if you don’t consider Antifa — a group that even the BBC compared to a left-wing militant outfit that does not shy away from “militant protest methods, including the destruction of property and sometimes physical violence” — as anything less than civil rights activists, metaphorically grasping the hand of Dr. Martin Luther King as he crossed the bridge into Selma, then you are incompetent.

At least that is the message coming out of the GOP establishment wing following Trump’s remarks Saturday that condemned the violence and bigotry at the Charlottesville rally “on many sides,” rather than placing the blame solely on the white supremacists.

According to Mediaite:

In remarks to reporters following a Rotary Club event in Chatanooga (via Chloe Morrison of, Tennessee Senator Bob Corker absolutely ripped the President for being — in his view — incompetent.

“The president has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability, nor some of the competence, that he needs to demonstrate in order for him to be successful,” Corker said. He added, “[Trump] also recently has not demonstrated that he understands the character of this nation.”

Corker then goes on to add that “we’re at a point where there needs to be radical changes at the White House — it has to happen…Without those things happening, our nation is going to go through great peril.”

It is not the first time that Senator Corker has shown himself to be a “useful idiot” for the Democrat Party and for Progressivism.

The Senator — who has one of the lowest conservative ratings among Senate Republicans according to the American Conservative Union — is said by Conservative Review to have “single-handedly enabled the Obama administration to enact the Iran Nuclear Deal by surrendering the treaty clause of the U.S. Constitution to Obama.”

Nor is Corker the only member of the GOP establishment to pile on against the president.

Mitt Romney, in a tweet, continued the remarkable narrative that has been effusive in its praise of Antifa:

One can only ponder — perhaps while pounding one’s head on a desk — if Antifa, a group that has, as Ann Coulter said, “shut down speeches by me, Heather MacDonald, @charlesmurray, Milo, violently, with masks & weapons” is, in fact, in a “morally different universe” from other groups that use violence to shut down opposition?

Or, if it’s GOP establishment types like Corker and Romney who live in their own separate universe?
