Huckabee comes to Trump’s defense over Charlottesville comments with TRUTH bomb

In his press conference yesterday, President Trump called on all Americans to come together amid the violent protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, saying “We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence on many sides.”

But for many – including Republicans – this statement wasn’t enough, because it didn’t specifically call out white supremacists and nationalists, which everyone on the left equates with Trump supporters, if not Trump himself.

However, last night in an appearance on Judge Jeanine Pirro, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee defended Trump’s comments, and managed to get a good jab in on Barack Obama as well.

Per the Gateway Pundit:

Huckabee told Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro that he has a “special repulsion” for white supremacists.

“It’s part because I’m white,” he elaborated. “It’s part because I have seen this evil and hateful attitude that elevates some people above others. And as a believing Christian, I’m especially offended because anybody who believes The Bible, especially the gospels, will have to accept that there is no way that God is a respecter of persons- as scripture makes clear, He doesn’t love some people more than others because of their color, because of their affiliation, even with Him.”

Pirro asked Huckabee if the outrage over the president’s remarks are just “Trump haters” who ” will look for any reason to dump on” him.

“Well it seems like a lot of them are, I don’t know what they expect the president to do,” Huckabee responded. “At the time that he made the comment, the driver of the car had not even been identified.”
“That’s exactly right!” Pirro exclaimed.

“And so what is he supposed to say?” Huckabee continued. “Is he supposed to do what Barack Obama used to do and jump to  conclusion  and make a decision like he did in Ferguson. Missouri, which turned out to be totally untrue? The president has to be careful in taking steps. I thought what he condemned was what we all could immediately condemn and that was the violence, the car some coward in a car drove into innocent people to try and kill them. And he condemned that! What else is he supposed to do at that point?”

We now know the domestic terrorist was 20-year-old James Alex Fields from Ohio. One woman is dead and 19 injured after Fields plowed his car into a crowd. He’s been charged with one count of second degree murder, three counts of malicious wounding, and one count of hit and run attended failure to stop with injury.

Apparently, he is a registered Republican and Trump supporter. The left is already branding ALL Trump supporters as not only racists and white supremacists but complicit in this violence as well.

Why is it that when one white Republican terrorist commits a terrible act, the left is quick to say ALL white Republicans are terrorists. But time and again, when Muslim terrorists commit terrible acts, the left admonishes us that we must not judge the many on the acts of the few?
