“Locked and loaded”

As tensions continue to heat up over North Korea amid reports they possess nuclear weapons, President Trump is making it clear he’s not going to take this threat lying down.

In fact, according to Trump, military solutions for dealing with the communist regime are “locked and loaded.”

According to The Washington Free Beacon, President Donald Trump tweeted Friday that military solutions for North Korea are “locked and loaded” should dictator Kim Jong-un act “unwisely.”

Trump and North Korea have engaged in an escalating battle of rhetoric in recent weeks, with Trump saying this week that it would be met with “fire and fury” if it continued threatening the U.S.

They’ve been doing this to our country for a long time, for many years, and it’s about time that somebody stuck up for the people of this country and for the people of other countries. So, if anything, maybe that statement wasn’t tough enough,” he said.

Friday morning, Trump wrote that he hoped North Korea will “find another path.”

“Military solutions are now fully in place, locked and loaded, should North Korea act unwisely. Hopefully Kim Jong Un will find another path!” Trump wrote.

North Korea has, for quite some time, ignored international law about missile tests, and has refused to stop despite repeated warnings.

As a result, the United Nations Security Council decided to give the country a hard slap by passing sanctions on them that would slash the nation’s exports by over $1 billion, delivering a crippling blow to its economy.

The mess in North Korea is largely the result of poor leadership by several past presidents including Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. Both failed to take the country seriously as a threat and work with nations around the world to shut down their nuclear program.

Let’s truly hope a diplomatic path to peace arises, but if not, it’s comforting to know our president and military have plans in place to deal with Kim Jong Un should he get out of line.
