It hasn’t been a good couple of weeks for CNN.James O’Keefe began releasing a number of undercover videos in a new series called “American Pravda,” in which he’s exposed anti-Trump bias in the mainstream media.
Of course, we’ve all seen the bias ourselves.
In fact, a recent Harvard study found that 93 percent of the media’s Trump coverage is negative. But, it’s something else entirely to see O’Keefe’s footage showcasing CNN producers and commentators stating that they believe the Trump/Russia story is nonsense that they’re just milking for the ratings.
Possibly the best of the bunch released thus far is the third video, in which CNN tells us how they really feel about American voters (and by proxy, their audience), whom associate producer Jimmy Carr describes as “dumb as s**t.”After that, a video was released showing commentator Van Jones describing the Russia investigation as a “huge nothingburger.”
Their main story for the past six months has been a “fake news” story they’ve knowingly pushed. Meanwhile, it’s the fake news that’s arisen due to cluelessness that’s been particularly hilarious. Yesterday CNN anchor Poppy Harlow mistook the Star-Spangled Banner for the French national anthem, while covering President Trump’s arrival in France. Watch below:
She must’ve heard a voice frantically correcting her in her earpiece, as she quickly corrected herself “The U.S., American national anthem, I should say, let’s listen.”
Honest mistake, or actual error from the network whose ratings are now lower than Yogi Bear reruns?[Note: This post was written by Matt Palumbo. He is a co-author of the new book A Paradoxical Alliance: Islam and the Left, and can be found on Twitter @MattPalumbo12]
