Former DNC chair drops TRUTH BOMB in tell-all book

If there’s one political organization you can expect to self-destruct at a moment’s notice in the era of Donald Trump, it’s the Democratic National Committee (DNC). Ever since Trump made the bold decision to leave his opulent New York City empire and enter the murky waters of presidential politics, the DNC has become unhinged and wholly incapable of countering his larger than life persona and connection with middle America.

The triumvirate of failed DNC chairs during Trump’s ascendancy (Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Donna Brazile, Tom Perez) is well-documented. Let’s take a quick look how each has fared:

> Wasserman-Schultz intentionally sabotaged Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign in an underhanded attempt to secure Clinton’s nomination. Fired.

> Donna Brazile famously tipped off the Clinton campaign about the nature and substance of the moderator’s questions during a presidential primary town hall. Resigned.

> The now acting chair, Tom Perez, has threatened violence against Trump supporters and has even resorted to amateurish tactics, calling the Republicans’ budget “not a skinny budget, but a s**tty budget.” Let’s see how long Mr. Perez lasts.

As this constant pattern of turmoil and dysfunction in the DNC lingers without any foreseeable end in sight, one of the members of the “triumvirate” has stepped forward to call out the organization for its past failures.

On November 7, 2017, Donna Brazile will release a new book, “Hacks: the Inside Story of the Break-ins and Breakdowns that put Donald Trump in the White House,” a detailed insider account of the Democratic Party’s complete mismanagement of last year’s landmark election and a scathing rebuke of Trump’s candidacy.

From the Washington Examiner:

“In Hacks, Donna Brazile, who replaced Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, dumped a year ago this month in the wake of the Wikileaks release of DNC emails, promises an ‘explosive and revealing look at the 2016 election: the first insider account of the Russian hacking of the DNC and the missteps by the Clinton campaign and the Obama administration that enabled a Trump victory,’ according to the publisher Hatchette.”

“Few details were released but those hinted at are already proving explosive and are angering party insiders.”

“With the future of the country hanging in the balance, Brazile found herself trying to corral a party beset by infighting, scandal and hubris,” said Hatchette of the former Al Gore presidential campaign manager and longtime DNC official and Washington politico.”

While Brazile’s publication also accuses the Trump campaign for deliberately circumventing established campaign rules and norms, the effect that “Hacks” will have on the credibility of the DNC could be far-reaching.

Whether the Democrats take the initiative to revamp their flawed organization is highly unlikely.
