CNN president confronted on camera over fake Russia news

James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas has been exposing CNN for knowingly peddling nonsense about an alleged Donald Trump-Russia link for ratings, and he’s not finished yet.

The first video in his new series features various conversations with CNN’s John Bonifield, who has been working with CNN for 15 years. He admits, flat out, that there’s no proof for any of the claims they’re making surrounding Donald Trump and Russia, and the network is just pushing the story for ratings:

“It’s mostly bullsh*t right now. Like, we don’t have any giant proof. The way these leaks happen, they would have leaked it. If it was something really good, it would leak. So, I just feel like they don’t really have it but they want to keep digging. So I think the president is probably right to say, ‘Look you are witch hunting me. You have no smoking gun. You have no real proof,” he told an undercover journalist.

CNN shrugged off the video, only stating that “diversity of personal opinion is what makes CNN strong, we welcome it and embrace it.”

Bonifield wasn’t the only one who thought as much at the network, however.

In the second video, CNN contributor Van Jones is captured on camera telling an undercover journalist from Project Veritas that the Russia story is a “big nothing burger.”

Since CNN had little to say about this, O’Keefe paid CNN president Jeff Zucker a visit — and didn’t get the conversation he had hoped for.

James O’Keefe asked Jeff Zucker, “Do you have a comment, sir, about the Russia story?”

Is this the behavior of a man who stands by his network’s integrity? It sure doesn’t seem that way.
