Jesse vs. Jesse: Things get HEATED when Watters confronts Ventura over Chris Kyle suit

It was Jesse vs. Jesse on Fox News the other night.

Jesse Ventura is perhaps best known among conservatives for being the man who sued the late Chris Kyle for defamation – then continued the lawsuit, this time against his estate (and thus his widow) following Kyle’s death. Ventura originally won the suit, which alleged a story contained in Chris Kyle’s book “American Sniper” where Ventura allegedly said that the U.S. army “deserved to lose some” for their actions in the war – a statement which allegedly then led to Kyle’s fist coming in direct contact with Ventura’s face.

Ventura was initially awarded $1.8 million in 2014, wiping out all the money the Kyle estate had received in royalties from the book, but in June 2016, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals tossed out the 2014 judgement.

The lawsuit may be finished in the courts – but it’s done more damage to Ventura’s reputation than the claims made in Kyle’s books ever could have. The suit came back to haunt him when Fox News’ Jesse Watters interviewed him after he was speaking at a pro-marijuana legalization conference. After fielding Ventura some seemingly sarcastic questions (such as “do you think there are any members of Congress who need to get high?”) he asked Ventura if he was stoned when he decided to sue Tara Kyle.

Ventura was not pleased. Watch below:

Can you say “triggered?”

Regardless, it’s highly unlikely Tara Kyle will be rushing to apologize to Ventura anytime soon.
