Whenever there’s any discussion of terrorism, the probability that someone will point out that “not all Muslims are terrorists!” approaches 100 percent. They apparently don’t think we’re aware of that. The overwhelming majority of Muslims are not terrorists — but it’s the minority that are we’re worried about, as they’ve proven themselves more than capable of inflicting an enormous amount of damage.
In fact, we’re so careful to specify that not all Muslims are terrorists that we use the phrase “radical Islam” to describe those we’re singling out — a phrase that liberals are extremely reluctant to use.
Campus Reform set out to the streets of Washington D.C. to find out — and the results will probably not surprise you at all.
Who’s the phrase going to offend? Terrorists?
Even more bizarre was the kid who claimed that Christian terrorism was a problem — then couldn’t name any actual examples, because it isn’t. Perhaps anti-abortion violence is something we could classify as “Christian extremism,” but that’s only resulted in 11 murders in the history of legal abortion. A jihadist would call that a “bad day.”What’s truly amazing is that ISIS can tell us on a regular basis that they are exclusively motivated by the Islamic faith, and the response among college liberals is “well, actually…”
