When former U.S. Olympian Bruce Jenner announced he was transitioning into a woman, the left immediately embraced him as one of their own. Caitlyn, as he wanted to be called, was suddenly hailed a hero for her bravery. The praise was so high, Jenner was eventually recognized as the “woman of the year.” This is despite the fact that – ya know – Jenner is actually still a man.Of course, what seems lost on the left is that Jenner bucks the ideological norm. Although she has often been a critic of President Trump, she still holds conservative views. Sadly for the left, not everyone in the LGBQT world is buying what liberals are selling.
In fact, Jenner is so conservative that she was invited to speak at the College Republican Foundation of Virginia. Once there, she could often be heard lashing out against liberal policies. However, it was her take on the recent shooting at a GOP baseball practice that had everyone talking. From BizPac Review:
Bruce Jenner, who fancies himself these days to be Caitlyn, may have turned loose of his male genitalia but he’s kept his hands firmly around his right-of-center politics.Speaking to the College Republican Foundation of Virginia, Jenner commented on the unhinged liberal assassin who opened fire on Republican lawmakers last week during a congressional baseball practice.
“Nobody deserves what happened out there,” the man who now identifies as a woman said. “There’s no justification.”
“As far as the people that were injured, it’s an absolute shame,” Jenner continued. “You just want them to recover.”From there, Jenner dropped the line that inspired laughter (or outrage… depending on your political persuasion):
“Fortunately the guy was a really bad shot… liberals can’t even shoot straight,” he/she said of the Bernie Sanders supporter who was killed by police during the attack.
Regardless of Jenner’s feelings about Trump, she represents an inconvenient truth for the left. Despite their efforts to put everyone in groups and rank them in terms of victimization, some refuse to be seen that way. A high profile case like Jenner serves to highlight this reality better than most.[Note: This post was authored by Michael Lee. Follow him on Twitter @UAMichaelLee]
