After Rupert Murdoch gave control of Fox to his two, more liberal sons, James and Lachlan, there were signs the times were a’ changing. For example, at the Fox Broadcast Network, the brothers introduced additional benefits, including more paid vacation, vastly enhanced reproductive coverage for women and “expanded coverage for our transgender colleagues.”
And of course we know what happened at Fox News. Roger Ailes, gone. Bill O’Reilly, history. Bill Shine (and since it’s Cinco de Mayo, let’s culturally appropriate…), adios.
So is it any surprise their latest hire is a liberal? Sure, they’ve always marketed themselves as “fair and balanced,” but it does make you think.Per The Hill, Fox News has signed Democratic strategist Jessica Tarlov as a political analyst.
“In this role, effective immediately, she will offer political analysis and insight across FNC and FOX Business Network’s (FBN) daytime and primetime programming,” reads a network announcement.
Throughout her career, Tarlov has written for FoxNews.com, The Daily Beast, Forbes and the New York Daily News.“I’m thrilled to join Fox News as a contributor,” Tarlov told TVNewser. “Over the last two years on Fox and Fox Business, I’ve gotten the opportunity to give voice to the liberal way of life and feel it’s more important than ever to continue this valuable bipartisan dialogue.”

The Washingtonian dubbed Tarlov “Fox’s Liberal” who openly supported Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election.
No, Tarlov isn’t the first liberal to be hired by Fox. The late Alan Colmes, and the living Bob Beckel and Juan Williams have prominent roles at the network. But it’s not hard to imagine there might soon be a show hosted by a leftie.
