Muslim college professor target of threats and assault; there’s just ONE problem…

If there was ever a hashtag trend that needed to exist it’s #FakeHate. An entire website could be dedicated to nothing but reporting on instances of liberals pretending to be conservatives and faking hate crimes against minority groups. We reported on these fakes earlier this month:

> The Muslim woman robbed of her hijab in Louisiana? Never happened.
> The black woman racially-harassed at a Philadelphia gas station? Never happened.
> The Asian student racially-taunted in Minnesota? Never happened.
> The bisexual student receiving hate-notes in Chicago? Never happened.
> The black church burned to the ground and defaced with “Vote Trump!” Committed by a black man.
> Asian store firebombed by a white Trump supporter? Committed by a black man.
> Michigan student told to remove her hijab or be lit on fire? Never happened.
> Racist note left for Hispanic students in North Carolina? Written by a Trump-hating Hispanic.
> Hateful racist letters sent to black folks around Knoxville? Written by a Trump-hating black man.

The list could go on, but all instances on it have two things in common: the supposed targets of the hate attacks are always members of some form of minority or supposedly disadvantaged group (black, Latino, gay, Muslim, etc.) and the directional flow of the crime is always one way – liberals pretending to be conservatives. Reports of conservatives pretending to be liberals and committing crimes against fellow conservatives are very difficult to find.

Now we can add another incident to the list and this case manages to up the number of stereotypes. The perpetrator of the #FakeHate is a) Muslim and b) a college professor. You can’t check very many more boxes than that. MSN.com has filed a report on (soon-to-be ‘former’) Professor Azhar Hussain:

“Aviation students at Indiana State University will need a new teacher. That’s because Professor Azhar Hussain was arrested on Friday for making up an assault, and also anti-Muslims threats. Not only might he face prison time, but his employers have already distanced themselves from him.

In a statement obtained by LawNewz.com, the school said charges originate from a number of emails with anti-Muslim messages and threats. Back then it wasn’t clear who sent these, only that the writer pointed out Hussain as a possible target. The first of these messages occurred on March 8, and things didn’t end there. On the 24th, Hussain reported that an assailant attacked him in the College of Technology, throwing him to the floor.

However, officials with several agencies–including university Public Safety, and the Indiana State Police–claim the alleged victim was actually the perpetrator. According to them, they tracked down the computer from which the emails came, and discovered evidence pinning Hussain as the letter writer.

“Based upon the investigation, it is our belief that Hussain was trying to gain sympathy by becoming a victim of anti-Muslim threats which he had created himself,” said the chief of ISU’s police department, Joseph Newport. “It is extremely unfortunate that this situation caused undue concern on other members of the ISU community.” He explained that the first email and the alleged assault sparked campus crime alerts.

Hussain has been suspended from teaching duties, and has already been told he won’t work for the university beyond the 2017-18 academic year, said University Provost Mike Licari. Formal dismissal proceedings have already been announced.”

Incidences of #FakeHate crimes against Muslims happen frequently as the left is constantly trying to paint Muslims as an especially persecuted class of citizens and to demonize counter-terrorism efforts. Why the left in America is so obsessed with protecting the reputation of Islam is anybody’s guess, but once again we’ve seen they’re willing to sacrifice personal integrity and in this case, their own source of livelihood, to do it.
