Say WHAT? Chuck Schumer speaks out on Syria airstrike and it’s blowing minds

The vast majority of Democrats in Congress absolutely loathe President Trump, and they aren’t at all shy about voicing their personal opinions about the man, his agenda, or his policies.

Which is what makes the whole idea of any of them, especially the hardcore leftists, actually supporting any action he takes a total shock to the cerebral cortex.

Yes, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi are backing Trump’s decision to bomb a Syrian air base as a means of sending a message to ruthless dictator Assad for gassing his own people.

The end is truly nigh.

According to The Washington Examiner, “Making sure Assad knows that when he commits such despicable atrocities he will pay a price is the right thing to do,” Schumer said in a statement released late Thursday. “I salute the professionalism and skill of our Armed Forces who took action today.”

“Tonight’s strike in Syria appears to be a proportional response to the the regime’s use of chemical weapons,” Pelosi said in a statement.

Following the missile launch at 8:40 p.m. Thursday, some Democratic lawmakers criticized Trump for not asking Congress’ permission before choosing to launch 59 Tomahawk missiles at an airbase in west Syria where it’s believed Tuesday’s chemical weapon attack originated.

Schumer did warn, however, that the Trump administration must “come up with a strategy and consult with Congress before implementing it.”

Speechless. Totally speechless.

One has to wonder what kind of hate mail these two are receiving both from their colleagues in the Senate, as well as their constituents back home.

A cursory glance through social media makes it clear the overwhelming majority of progressives are not at all on board with Trump’s decision, so the rage machine is likely boiling over with vitriol for Pelosi and Schumer.

What’s ironic is how both of these individuals are anti-gun, tools that are used to protect people and their liberty, yet they’re totally cool with the military using weapons to defend the weak.

The inconsistencies in liberalism are truly astounding.
