Up until the past three months, Americans have generally held respect for the office of the president of the United States of America, whether we voted for its current occupant or not, whether he’s a member of the political party we affiliate with or not, the office has historically been something we revere and show deference toward. No more.
Since Donald Trump won the Republican nomination we’ve seen liberals in America break campaign law, DNC officials busted for corroborating with media to help sway debates, we’ve witnessed them beating up fellow citizens, rioting in the streets, attacking law enforcement, releasing videos of themselves burning the flag and assassinating our president, we’ve seen Trump’s likeness made into all forms of vile Photoshopped images and cartoons.
For the left in our country, depicting or describing the president of the United States of America as Hitler and/or a Nazi has become completely commonplace but was for the most part limited to handheld signs and banners. Now a liberal in Arizona has decided to assault the sensibilities of any and all who walk or drive into downtown Phoenix by erecting a BILLBOARD depicting Trump as a Nazi.ABC15 News reported on the over-sized, overly-offensive “work of art:”
The billboard, which is on Grand Avenue near Fillmore Street, features President Trump wearing a lapel pin of the Russian flag, mushroom clouds in the background and dollar signs rendered in the same style as swastikas.
A neighbor who did not provide his name was upset about the installation. “I gotta wake up to Nazism for the next four years,” the man said. “I’ve been here 35 years, this is the worst tagging stuff I’ve had in my neighborhood.”Beatrice Moore owns the property under the billboard. Moore paid a California artist to create the sign. Moore said the billboard is a form of standing up to the “disturbing policies” of the Trump administration. She plans to keep the sign in place as long as President Trump remains in office.”
Karen Fiorito, the liberal business-owner who commissioned and is paying for the billboard, had this to say, ““I think a lot of people are feeling this way and I’m just trying to express what I think is on a lot of people’s minds these days. Something that really concerned us was this idea of a dictatorship where things were going in a certain direction.”
We’re living under a dictatorship? In office for 58 days and Donald Trump has already turned our nation from a representative republic to a dictatorship?
The casualness with which liberals can label the president as equivalent to the most brutal man and regime in modern history who embroiled the entire planet in a war that cost more than 60 million people their lives is startling. Not only that it, diminishes the truth and the gravity of who Adolph Hitler and the Nazis really were. This level of disrespect for the office of the president is one that Democrats everywhere from Washington D.C. to Phoenix city council members should publicly decry.
But won’t. Despicable.
