Alec Baldwin, who impersonates Donald Trump on “Saturday Night Live,” just got the biggest boost of his career…ever. After starring in the television show 30 Rock for seven years and famously telling his 11-year-old daughter she made him “feel like sh*t” and is a “thoughtless little pig,” Baldwin has achieved fame for his regular spots on SNL in full costume as the president himself, complete with hair and pout.In fact so convincing is Baldwin’s impression, that one international newspaper actually published a photo of him instead of the real president on its pages.
The mix-up happened Friday, when the Dominican Republic newspaper El Nacional published a photo of Baldwin next to one of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Ultimately the newspaper apologized saying the AP photo of Baldwin “happened unnoticed” by the paper’s staff.
But frankly, what the newspaper did next will probably bug President Trump even more than the mix-up.Yesterday morning, they posted a tweet of the Baldwin and Trump side-by-side, presumably to help explain why they made their honest mistake.

In its apology, the paper noted that Baldwin plays Trump on SNL, and that the photo was distributed by the Associated Press properly identified but incorrectly used by the newspaper staff.
Nacional then asked readers to excuse the mistake.“Actor Baldwin imitates President Trump on the Saturday Night Live weekly show on the National Broadcasting Company (NBC), one of the most important in the United States.”
One of the most important WHAT in the United States?
Anyway, the president himself has yet to comment on the mix-up — although he has previously tweeted his disapproval of Baldwin’s impression. No doubt he’ll soon weigh in.
Hoo-boy. You really cannot make this stuff up.
