Remember when the liberal media was concerned President Trump and his supporters weren’t going to accept the election results? Ironically, reality worked out a lot differently. President Trump’s victory has sparked multiple riots, an investigation into Russian hacking, and an attempt to steal the election via the electoral college. Turns out, liberals were the real threat to democracy. If you thought things would change once President Trump was sworn into office, you were sorely mistaken. Not only have the riots continued, but some people are calling for President Trump to be impeached. Of course, in order to be impeached, a president actually has to break the law. Simply not agreeing with Trump’s policies isn’t grounds for impeachment, no matter how loudly you scream it.
Sadly, most liberals aren’t all that concerned with such details.Thankfully, not all Democrats are on board with such delusional plans. In fact, the voice of reason within the party may just surprise you.
From The Hill:
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Monday that President Trump’s first weeks in office have been deeply troubling, but offer no grounds for impeachment. The House minority leader was responding to recent comments from Rep. Maxine Waters, a fellow California Democrat, who said last week that her “greatest desire is to lead [Trump] right into impeachment.”
Pelosi was more cautious, saying the new president has been reckless and incompetent but hasn’t done anything criminal to merit his removal by Congress.
“[There] are grounds for displeasure and unease in the public about the performance of this president, who has acted in a way that is strategically incoherent, that is incompetent and that is reckless,” Pelosi told reporters in the Capitol. “And that is not grounds for impeachment.Granted, Pelosi couldn’t help but take a few shots at President Trump, but let’s give credit where credit is due. The hysteria over Trump’s policies are unprecedented. Just being able to point out that you disagree, while not calling for impeachment, is radical common sense from the left these days. Disagreements are natural, hysteria is not.
Of course, while Democrats bicker over their delusional plots, President Trump continues to accomplish everything the American people elected him to do. Instead of trying to impeach him, perhaps Democrats could learn a thing or two from the new president.
