Donald Trump’s inauguration is already facing a historic number of protestors. Over eight-hundred thousand people are expected to attend, and Trump’s International Hotel in D.C. is already sold out. It’s noticeably lower than the 1.8 million Barack Obama drew, but then again, most Republicans are probably too busy working to attend. The anti-Trump protestors can’t say the same. There’s a “million woman march” planned in protest, and dozens of other far-left groups are organizing.
But they’re not the groups anyone has to worry about – it’s a much more radical group.
As Heavy.com reported: According to terrorist network chatter, Islamic State sympathizers in the United States are setting their sights on President-elect Trump’s Friday, January 20, 2017 Inauguration Day as a major terrorist offensive in Washington, DC.
The report comes a week after ISIS in Indonesia released a propaganda video urging its followers to assassinate Trump. Watch it here. The Express reports that terrorists are referring to the alleged upcoming attack as “Bloody Friday.” British paper The Express added that the terror organization is reported to have recruited a number of new English speaking operatives in recent months in a major bid to communicate messages ahead of the event.
The last string of ISIS inspired attacks has resulted in no casualties except for the perpetrators. The Ohio State University attacker killed no one, nor did the Minnesota mall stabber or tri-state area bomber. At an event with such tight security, if an attack were to occur, the perpetrators are likely to quickly find that it’s they who are terrified.
We hope.[Note: This post was written by The Analytical Economist]
