News is breaking of an active shooter on the campus of Ohio State University. An active shooter was reported at Watts Hall at Ohio State University by university police and emergency management. The campus newspaper The Lantern posted a photo of a “body bag” outside Koffolt Labs and also reported a possible second shooter.

Police have people on the scene there is a potential second assailant still at large at this time. Continue to seek shelter.

Reports currently differ on the number of injuries, but the highest estimate reported thus far is seven injuries, according to WSYX6 investigative reported Brooks Jarosz, and eight injuries, according to CBS.

According to RT.com, The suspect is described as “male, black, light complexion, short hair,” according to scanner traffic.
Images emerged of a body in the street believed to be that of the shooter. A student tweeted out that police tackled the suspect, but that has yet to be confirmed. Given the photo below, it seems much more likely the suspect was shot, as police wouldn’t have attempted to tackle an armed suspect, nor would they get off the suspect after tackling him to the ground without restraining him.
