Hot off the news that the FBI was reopening its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server, Donald Trump wasted no time in sharing his thoughts about the whole thing as he opened a rally in New Hampshire.Supporters, as you can imagine, were very happy to hear the news, chanting, “Lock her up!” after The Donald informed the crowd of what happened.
Here’s what the real estate mogul had to say.
According to TheBlaze, Trump wasted no time bringing up the FBI’s decision as he opened his New Hampshire rally Friday afternoon with the “very critical breaking news announcement” to cheering fans chanting, “Lock her up!”
“I have great respect for the fact that the FBI and the Department of Justice are now willing to have the courage to right the horrible mistake that they made,” Trump said. “This was a grave miscarriage of justice that the American people fully understood, and it is everybody’s hope that it is about to be corrected.”He added, “Perhaps finally justice will be done.”
Trump, who is trailing his Democratic counterpart in the polls, has often alleged that the political system is rigged, and he has refused to answer if he will acknowledge a Clinton presidency in November should she win. But on Friday, Trump conceded that the system might not be that bad.
“With what I just announced previously,” Trump said from Manchester, referring to the reopening of the investigation, “it might not be as rigged as I thought.”One can only hope Trump is right — and that the FBI move isn’t just for show, or some sort of distraction to keep folks from paying attention to the devastating revelations coming out via Wikileaks emails being released to the public.
If this is legitimate, the FBI needs to bring Hillary to justice in order to restore at least a little faith in the system, making it clear that no one, not even a Clinton, is above the law.The real question is whether or not this will be enough to sway undecideds and independents that Hillary truly is the deplorable candidate. Only time will tell.
