The vast and widespread idiocy of the progressive left continues to swarm upon the world of professional sports as U.S. soccer player Megan Rapinoe “protests” against the National Anthem, this time while wearing her country’s uniform.Rapinoe decided to jump on the bandwagon led by NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick who launched this whole thing by refusing to stand for the “Star Spangled Banner,” as a means of protesting against how the U.S. “oppresses” blacks.
As if disrespecting your nation’s flag and everything it stands for isn’t enough, she’s also a big, big fan of Hillary Clinton.
According to Breitbart, Rapinoe knelt before a match against Thailand in Columbus, Ohio.

Previously, Rapinoe had knelt in protest before a game for Seattle Reign FC, her team in the National Women’s Soccer League. Thursday night marks the first time in the recent, Black Lives Matter-inspired protests that a U.S. athlete has protested the Star-Spangled Banner while wearing national colors. The 31-year-old Rapinoe, who plays left wing and midfield, is one of several professional athletes to follow the example of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who kicked off the anthem protests in August. She joined his protest Sep. 4, taking a knee before a professional match.
Rapinoe, who is white, is a supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement, which seeks to draw attention to alleged police brutality against black Americans. The movement has also been associated with rioting, arson, attacks on police, and antisemitism.
Earlier this year, Rapinoe endorsed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, joining her for a roundtable discussion on pay equality.
While wacky leftists might be gushing over Rapinoe’s support of their racially divisive and anti-American narrative, the folks at U.S. Soccer are none too pleased.
Here’s a statement they released in response to Rapinoe’s little stunt:

This whole “movement,” which in reality is nothing more than a desperate plea for attention by professional athletes who feel they aren’t getting enough press, has gone on long enough.
It’s time for U.S. Soccer and other athletic organizations to not only talk a big game about being disappointed with this kind of behavior, but to take action to discipline those who engage in it.
Activism, for the modern liberal, is not really about accomplishing any real lasting change, but about appearing trendy, hip, and cool. It’s a way to build a Twitter following and to make yourself feel important, to assuage some sense of guilt for not doing something meaningful with their lives.
Sports stars, who make millions of dollars to play a game, cannot be taken seriously when they speak of fighting “oppression,” particularly since they live in a land that provides them the opportunity to do something they love for a living.
Just because you have the freedom and liberty to do something, doesn’t make it right.
