My colleague, Michelle Jesse, reported last month about the mysterious timing of Dr. Drew Pinsky’s termination from CNN — just eight days after he publicly stated he was “gravely concerned” about Hillary Clinton’s health. The concerns center largely around damage caused by a well-publicized concussion the candidate suffered in 2012 — and, in fact, Hillary herself cited as recently as July, in her FBI interview, as the reason for memory issues. Dr. Pinsky wasn’t basing his concerns off of conspiracy theories circling the web, but rather a close examination of her records in collaboration with a colleague internist pulmonologist. Even Barack Obama’s former physician (who is voting for Hillary) thinks Hillary should undergo a neurological evaluation.Within days of his comments, CNN announced Dr. Drew’s show would be coming to an end, with the last episode airing September 22nd. Many of us just couldn’t help but see a connection between the doctor’s politically incorrect comments about the candidate and his show’s cancellation by the Clinton News Network.
And while Dr. Pinsky himself, claims publicly that the timing was indeed suspicious, a new report suggests the doctor did indeed face serious pushback for daring to question Madam Secretary’s health.

“CNN is so supportive of Clinton, network honchos acted like the Mafia when confronting Drew,” a source told me. “First, they demanded he retract his comments, but he wouldn’t.”
What followed was a series of nasty phone calls and emails. “It was downright scary and creepy,” a source close to Pinsky said. But a spokeswoman for Pinsky said the show’s cancellation had been decided weeks before Pinsky’s comments, as part of an HLN revamp that includes the end of Nancy Grace’s show.
“I know the timing is suspicious, and I know it’s hard to believe, but the two things had nothing to do with each other,” Pinsky’s rep Valerie Allen told me.So perhaps the timing was just a coincidence — but the backlash he received is quite real. The media didn’t hesitate — or face backlash for — questioning the health of John McCain, and CNN has even questioned Trump’s. So why does Hillary get a free pass?
