We had a few days of calm it seemed. Perhaps we would be spared another tragedy perpetrated by terrorists. But no.Israel National News reports, Turkish news outlets have reported that a suicide attack targeted a wedding hall in southern Turkey Saturday night.
According to initial reports, at least 8 people have been confirmed killed and more than 60 wounded in the attack.
Ali Yerlikaya, Governor of Gaziantep, said the bombing was the work of “terrorist organizations”, though he did not specify whether evidence suggested which group or groups were involved Haberturk reported.
However, according to Reuters, we already know who it was: Islamic State militants were believed to be behind the attack, Samil Tayyar, a minister from the ruling AK Party said on Twitter.
Col. West has reported here on more than one occasion that ISIS is unhappy with Turkey’s overtures to Israel. Could the attack today be punishment? We’ll no doubt learn more in the hours and days ahead.
