As we reported earlier, the father of Orlando shooter Omar Mateen showed up last night at one of Hillary Clinton’s rallies. He just “so happened” to be featured in a place of prominence, visible behind Hillary Clinton in camera shots.Whether the campaign had anything to do with Mateen’s presence there, you can decide. The Queen clearly ignored media inquiries on this topic, as you can see below. No doubt nothing to hide here… But can you even imagine if — for example — the father of Dylan Roof, the man who murdered nine African-American individuals in a Charleston church, showed up at one of Donald Trump’s rallies? You think anyone would be letting that slide for even one second?
As if to remove any doubt about whom he supports for president, Mateen — father of the man who murdered 49 people and wounded 53 others, largely members of the LGBT community — said this:
“Hillary Clinton is good for United States versus Donald Trump, who has no solutions,” the father of the gunman said. You might think that Hillary and her campaign would be very quick to distance the candidate from the endorsement of this man — especially given the outrage that continues to this day about GOP Donald Trump’s failure to distance himself fast and far enough from ex-KKK leader David Duke’s endorsement. Not only did Mateen’s son murder 49 and wound 53 others, the senior Mateen himself has expressed support for the Taliban — while also proclaiming that “God will punish gays.”
However, in a #ShockingNotShocking development, Hillary’s campaign responded much in the same way the candidate herself responded to questions on whether Mateen had been invited to her rally last night, as the New York Post reports:
The Clinton campaign did not respond to a request from The Post asking whether it accepted Mateen’s endorsement.
