Muslim DNC speaker Khizr Khan is still making headlines, despite saying he wanted out of the spotlight.By now, everyone knows of Khan, the father of a slain Muslim American soldier who lost his life fighting for us in the Iraq war, who gave what has become the most talked about speech from last week’s Democrat National Convention — even more than Hillary Clinton’s speech accepting the party’s nomination for president. Khan’s high-profile challenge of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump thrust him into the spotlight — and under the microscope, as many of us wanted to learn more about who, exactly, this man is.
Khan said earlier this week he would like to get out of the spotlight and go back to his private life, but apparently that didn’t stop him from going on TV in Pakistan to further weigh in on the U.S. election. Via Dunya News:The father of martyred US soldier Captain Humayun Khan, Khizr Khan, has on Thursday said that the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is unacceptable to the US. He said that Allah makes people like Trump to make mistakes to discredit them in public eyes forever, reported Dunya News.
Talking exclusively to Dunya News on program Nuqta-e-Nazar, Khizr Khan said that he often gets emotional while speaking in public but when nature wants you to do something, words come by themselves. He said his speech was a gift from the God. “I showed the constitution only because I wanted to remind people that nobody could be discriminated against in the name of religion”, said Khizr.
Khan said that Donald Trump actually exposed himself by criticizing him. He added that Donald Trump’s words were stupid. “All citizens must be equal before the state. All immigrants are against the stupid Republican candidate”, he said.Meanwhile, Allah apparently must’ve done the same to Khan, who scrambled to delete his law firm’s website following the surge in attention directed at him following his speech. As it turns out, he specializes in the procurement of EB5 immigration visas, which help wealthy foreigners (usually from the Middle East) buy their way into America. The system has long been criticized for being fraught with corruption.
Geez, I can’t imagine why this guy opposes Trump’s views on Muslim immigration…
