White cop ambushed by black assailant; police REFUSE to say crime was racially motivated

After Omar Mateen pledged his allegiance to ISIS and to Allah as he was gunning down innocent club-goers in Orlando, the mainstream media, law enforcement, President Obama and Loretta Lynch turned themselves into pretzels to avoid saying perhaps the shooter’s motive had anything to do with his Muslim beliefs. Instead, Mateen’s massacre was characterized as a “hate crime” because he targeted a gay nightclub.

Now after Micah Johnson specifically targeted white police officers during his fatal rampage in Dallas on Friday night, saying he “wanted to kill white people, especially white officers,” all we get from Obama is a “vicious, calculated, despicable attack.” And that’s it.

Former Attorney General Eric Holder once famously said the nation needed to have an honest discussion about race, but it seems the left has made it taboo to have any discussion at all – unless it’s about black victimhood.

On Saturday, a suburban St. Louis police officer was critically injured during a routine traffic when he was essentially ambushed as he walked back to his car.

Via msn.com, CBS affiliate KMOV-TV reports Mike Flamion was shot while walking back to his car to process paperwork during what appeared to be a routine traffic stop for speeding. Police say Flamion and the suspect had a conversation. While the officer was turned around, the suspect “advanced quickly,” and fired at least three shots, with one striking Flamion in the neck.

The officer “had no chance at all” to pull his handgun and “was completely helpless.”

A semi-automatic handgun was recovered from the scene, KMOV reports.

Flamion is white. His attacker, 31-year-old parolee Antonio Taylor, is black.

Taylor was on probation for a weapons violation in St. Louis. He also had been on probation for a stolen vehicle in Oklahoma, and was picked up on a gun charge in California, drawing a prison term for being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was paroled in March 2015.

However, Ballwin’s police chief has declined to speculate about a motive behind Flamion’s attack, including whether the shooting had racial overtones.

Really? Seems to me it’s all there in black and white, but perhaps that’s being simplistic. Maybe Taylor was just “troubled.” Perhaps he’d been made to feel uncomfortable by law enforcement officers as a result of his previous numerous criminal infractions.

Maybe, as Loretta Lynch says, all he really needed was a little more love in his life.

How difficult is it to see a pattern here? If the left wants to promote the narrative that police officers are targeting and killing black men, can we just be a little honest that now black men are targeting police officers?
